Jim Miley

Jim is the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at HFG. With an emphasis on operational efficiency, he focuses on providing committees and pre-retirees with customized strategies that support their economic success.

Jim helps organizations and individuals plan their retirement with deliberate and actionable steps. He aims to demystify the financial planning process with understandable language and personalized education, allowing him to better address the complex financial needs of his clients.

Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Concordia University-Saint Paul. He then obtained the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation from the Investments & Wealth Institute. Jim was also notably recognized as one of NAPA’s 2019 Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisors under 40. Jim and his wife Katie have four children and live in Saint Paul, MN.
